HI THERE

Hi there. Welcome to my blog. This is pretty much like an online diary only everyone can read it. Well maybe not a diary seeing as a diary is mostly true. I will probably be stretching the truth to make this more interesting. I wont be using my real name or anyone Else's that I write about. Please comment, email me, anything you want. Hopefully some people will actually come read whats going on here.
So just so you know everything: I am Scarlett, hence the name "shades of Scarlett". I will try to write in here at least every week. It will be hard to write more often then that because of school. I guess that is the first subject I will be talking about; school. So here goes nothing.

I just started high school. I was pretty nervous for the first day. I guess I had a right to be. Schools OK though. Its much better than junior high. My junior high was pretty crappy. Maybe it was like every junior high ever built, but it always seems like your is worse. You see, the teachers there are not very focused on actually teaching you anything. Their main goal is to discipline. I don't really blame them seeing as the person supposed to be disciplining isn't doing his job. We have this principal who is a complete nut case. He goes around wearing these god awfull suits pretending to do his job. He only came when I was in grade 8. I didn't even know who our principal was until almost November of that year. Yeah, your doing a great job, the students don't even know who you are. Maybe I am giving him too much credit for ruining the school, I should give some credit to the school board. For example; every year the grade 9s go on a trip. To pay for this trip we raise the money ourselves, our biggest way of doing this is selling chocolate bars. You could probably pay for your entire trip just by selling them. Guess what? They aren't healthy enough for the school board. They want us all to be fit out of our minds. Now I don't know about your school, but my school is pretty fit already. I don't know where people are getting this idea of kids being too over weight today... I can name 3 kids in that entire school who were over weight. Most of the school was on at least 2 sports teams, and that's just INSIDE school. So they take away our pop machines and out chocolate bars. You know what we do when that happens? We take the 4 minute walk to the corner store and but Red Bulls and Greco. Now I'm no health expert, but that doesn't really sound like a healthy lunch to me.

Now here's the newest problem in the school... I don't actually have to deal with it because I am off to high school, but I know people there and I honestly pity them. The entire first week of school this year was spent walking around. Seriously. They had to go down to said corner store and meet the management. "Why?" you might ask, "would they be doing that?" I will tell you why. Its because they need to learn how to treat people of authority! And what about backpacks... No need for those silly old "fire hazards". They are now inclined to wear "sinch packs". Do you know what that is? Maybe you have heard of the store GARAGE. Well when you buy a big enough purchase they give you a sinch pack to put it in. Its a little bag with straps that you can put around your shoulders. Now I don't know how they plan on being able to carry roughly 8 binders, pencils and pens, 2 or 3 text books, and whatever else you need for school in these tinny little bags. And guess what! They didn't even tell them this until they got to school. No letter sent home to tell you not to bother buying a $30 back pack. Just throw it out! And to top it all off, you have to PAY for your sinch pack! I am royally ticked off about this entire fiasco if you haven't noticed. The worst part about it all is that they told the students that every school in the school district is doing this! no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no! I know people from other schools in the district. What do they say when you tell them about this situation. Nothing. They look at you like you have 6 heads.
Thoughts?
